On my way home!! I am so excited to finally be able to write the post I have been waiting 2 months for...our little man has come home!! The past week has been quite an eventful one but in the end we have our baby at home with us. Logan made a ton of progress the last week in the hospital, moving to 8 bottles a day on Friday the 6th, moving off the cannula on Saturday the 7th and finally coming home exactly 2 months after he was born and 3 days after his original due date on Thursday, December 12th, weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long!! It is such a crazy and wonderful feeling to finally have him here with us and for the first time in 3 months not to be at the hospital! No way! No way!!! So so happy for you and that he's made enough progress that you could do this. You must be on cloud nine. Thanks for sharing - so glad I checked in to see this update!
ReplyDeleteMelissa- you are the best and bravest mom EVER!!! I am so happy for you. I almost started crying myself when I saw your BEAUTIFUL photo of you and Logan together. Actually, I think I am crying. Oh well, congratulations on this milestone and know that we are so happy everything is going well for Logan. YOU are next on the improvement list! Thank you for finding time to update the blog. It means so much to us. Lots of love to you 3, Val & Cotten
ReplyDeleteMelissa, just to let you know that there are lots of thoughts and prayers coming from the UK too. Your Dad keeps me updated and it's normally the first thing we speak about when we have our calls every day (as well as me following this fantastic blog). These are the pictures I've really been looking forward to (you and Logan together) and there are a few tears being shed here in the UK too. I know you have some more stuff to go through so take care of yourself. Love, Julie xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you! We will keep your family in our prayers!
