St. Louis Update

Image
Hi everyone and hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving!!!  I want to first thank you all for the love and prayers and good vibes that you sent our way last week, we definitely felt them and it helped to know we had so many wonderful people in our life!!   On the plane and ready to go! Sorry for a bit of a delayed update, just now getting back in front of the computer and trying to get all my thoughts together for the blog!  I will let you know that it was a very successful trip and Logie is doing great.  We headed out on Sunday afternoon and were able to check into the hotel by about 3:30 St. Louis time.  I was able to upgrade us to a club suite which was fantastic, we had two rooms (allowing us to be in one and Logie in the other) and the club room had breakfast and evening drinks / hors d'oeuvres, when traveling with a 3 year this is crucial, not just the drink part (don't get me wrong that was very helpful) but being able to get some food from across the hall and havin

Big Week Ahead...

Gotta start the blog with a cute picture right?? Hello everyone!  Next week is Thanksgiving but that's not why it will be a big week for us, it is finally the week we head to St. Louis to meet with one of the SDR doctors and with the Pediatric Opthamologist and Logie is scheduled for his eye surgery!! As I may have mentioned in the past, Logan's eyes have been a huge puzzle for not only us but also for every doctor that has seen him.  He has been diagnosed with Strabismus where his eyes will sometimes cross and come in alternating between both left and right but more often the right side.  He has Ptosis of the eye where his left eyelid can sometime droop down and then at other times it huge.  The doctors all say that they think he can see but at times he will alternate which eye he is looking out of so how far he can see or how well is still a huge mystery to us and other times he just rolls his eyes up and around and we don't know what is going on.   We have also bel

October Fun!!

Hello! Sorry it has been.a couple of weeks since my last post. There is a lot to catch you up on at school and some activities Logan and I have done during the month of October!๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ As you all know our little man turned 3 this month!! He had a very special Birthday Celebratiom surrounded by lots of Family. I know Mommy caught you up on all of that๐Ÿ˜€ Logan and I have tried to stay pretty busy when he is not in therapies or school. October is usually a nice time to be outside but not this year in Atlanta....so hot! But there were a couple of days that were bearable, so we took advantage of it! Some of our activities included the Zoo and walking around Marietta Square. Each place was decorated with Spooky Fall Decorations and of course lots of Pumpkins!! Scarecrows in the Square! Fall Fun at the Zoo!! Spider-Man!! Watching my favorite big brothers play football!! Alex cuddles are the best!! My Fave new park!! This month in School the kids worked o

3 Years Old!!!

So I am not totally sure how this happened but our little man has turned 3...3?!?!?!  On one hand it seems like a lifetime and on the other hand I can't believe he has gotten so big.  To say the last three years were a journey would be quite the understatement but looking back I wouldn't have it any way.  If we hadn't encountered all the things we have these past 3 years none of us would be who we are today and honestly, I like us...I like us a lot!  ;)  I have learned more about resilience and kindness and love and heartache from a 3 year old than I have known in my whole life.  Everyday he opens my eyes to new and amazing things and I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful little angel to call my own!  Happy birthday little man, I love you more than the stars and the fishies and the sand!! Ok, enough with the sappy Mommy stuff, let's talk about our little guys birthday celebrations, because of course you can't turn 3 without some partying going on!!  :)  The

Friday Recap!

Happy Fall! We are certainly loving the cooler temps here in Atlanta! Sadly Logie and I haven't been able to enjoy the outdoors the last two days. He has had a bit of a fever and a little runny nose๐Ÿ˜ž Been resting and watching Mickey! Little guy seems pretty happy about that๐Ÿ˜Š School is is still going great! Last week they talked more about their five senses and the color green. Logan knows basically all his body parts. Such a smart cookie! This week my kids and I had the special treat of having Logan stay 2 nights and three days with us!! Mommy and Daddy both happened to be out of town for work. We had so much fun. Payton even came to school with us on Tuesday and Bo joined in on Hippo Therapy Wednesday! So many special moments! Bo and Logie are best buddies. It is so fun to watch the two of them interact. I am so proud of how well Logan is doing in school and his therapies! He has begun to love his walker! I feel that soon we will see him getting around in it more of
