Day 2 & 3

Love this sweet boy!!
Over the past couple days of treatment it seems like we are making some progress!  We are noticing some more smiles come through, although not quite back up to where we were before but getting closer.  He luckily has still been in pretty good spirits besides an occasional meltdown here and there but those have really only come after long waits at the doctors office and honestly I don't blame him...I kinda want to meltdown too!  He has been pretty sleepy and cuddly lately not necessarily wanting to take long naps but taking a bunch of little cat naps, mainly when someone is holding him!!

Looks like the sleepiness is rubbing off on Gammy!
We did get some good news on Friday, the neurologists office called us to let us know that the blood tests have all come back normal and at this point they aren't sure what is causing the spasms.  If you remember in my first post we said that you really want to have the cryptogenic version as it has a higher chance for the steroids to work and less likely to have other seizures down the road so we are hoping this stays the case and nothing new comes up...fingers crossed.

Also, it seems like the steroids are making a difference as we didn't notice any spasms yesterday!!!  This doesn't mean he didn't have any perhaps when napping or we weren't watching but we are keeping a pretty close eye on him and last Saturday we had 5...this Saturday we didn't catch any, sounds like progress to me!!

Thanks to all our Logan Prayer Warriors out there...you are all helping us get through this and I think someone is listening and giving our lil man some extra help as well!!  Fingers crossed that this progress continues...

  3. Chris & Melissa, this is Don & Linda Henderson. David just told us Saturday what is going on. I immediatly started praying for Logan and will continue daily, morning & night. I have read all the post you have made and loved seeing that there seems to be improvment. Take care of yourselves and keep updating, we are looking forward to eventually seeing y'all and meeting little Logan. We will keep those prayers coming.

  4. We had a big day....played, had tummy time, ate apple/apricots, drank my bottles. Gammy loves holding this precious bundle of joy. Knew mom took some cute pics while holding after a bottle but didn't realize mom caught us napping together!
