Sorry it has been.a couple of weeks since my last post. There is a lot to catch you up on at school and some activities Logan and I have done during the month of October!ππ
As you all know our little man turned 3 this month!! He had a very special Birthday Celebratiom surrounded by lots of Family. I know Mommy caught you up on all of thatπ
Logan and I have tried to stay pretty busy when he is not in therapies or school. October is usually a nice time to be outside but not this year in Atlanta....so hot! But there were a couple of days that were bearable, so we took advantage of it! Some of our activities included the Zoo and walking around Marietta Square. Each place was decorated with Spooky Fall Decorations and of course lots of Pumpkins!!
Scarecrows in the Square!
Fall Fun at the Zoo!!
Spider-Man!!
Watching my favorite big brothers play football!!
Alex cuddles are the best!!
My Fave new park!!
This month in School the kids worked on the colors Orange and Red. They talked about Community Helpers and of course all things Fall. Logan continues to enjoy his Walker "Bike"! He also has lots of friends that want to help and play with him!! His best buddy is Sam. Their little Frienship is adorable! Sam is very protective almost possessive over Logis.. He lets everyone know he is the only one that can push Logan in the car or tickle him when he is sad.
Logan ventured out and also began to enjoy Finger Painting and playing with Playdough. He is usually all about the Electronics! He has become quite social and very talkative! Our little Parot for sure!
Playdough Artist!
Unfortunately Logie wasn't feeling very well for Halloween but he did get to put on his Superman outfit for us and look the part. Bummed he missed out on the trick or treating but there is always next year! :)
Therapies have been going well, look at him standing on the horse!!! There is also a video of him swimming below, I warn you it is quite long but you can see what a little fish he has become!! We had to say goodbye to one of our favorite PTs this week unfortunately due to our new schedule coming up, we will miss Lisa a bunch!!
Miss you Lisa!! Thanks for everything!
I think that is all for now, sorry for the long catch up we will try to be more regular just been a busy busy month! Until next time... :)
On my way home!! I am so excited to finally be able to write the post I have been waiting 2 months for...our little man has come home!! The past week has been quite an eventful one but in the end we have our baby at home with us. Logan made a ton of progress the last week in the hospital, moving to 8 bottles a day on Friday the 6th, moving off the cannula on Saturday the 7th and finally coming home exactly 2 months after he was born and 3 days after his original due date on Thursday, December 12th, weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long!! It is such a crazy and wonderful feeling to finally have him here with us and for the first time in 3 months not to be at the hospital! There is this perfect and beautiful baby that has joined our daily lives and we couldn't be happier, I just love having my little family finally all together!! The first night home was a little tough, I think I was just a little Mommy paranoid, checking every coupl...
Still love those feet!! :) One plus to the fact that Logan and I are now living in the same place is it gives me a lot more opportunities to see him and hang out with him. Luckily, things have been going really well for him over the past 2 days. The opthamologist came yesterday and he said things were looking good. The pressure was down and as of now he doesn't think that surgery will be necessary, he will continue to monitor Logan's progress but for now things are good. He also gave us the ok to finally be able to hold our little man!!! Besides that, he is up to 25ccs every 3 hours and he is tolerating all of his feedings with no residuals. This is one of the big steps to get him to the Intermediate Care facility, I don't know what the full amount of food he needs to be eating is yet but we are getting closer. He has been making good progress on his CPAP, he went up on the Oxygen a little bit the first night but since then they h...
Going Home!!! I know I owe you all an update and so sorry it has taken me so long...I think we are just trying to get used to being back home and our new schedule and routine! So...let me rewind and go back to where I left off on the last blog...Day 5! Day 5 was another good one for us...Logan and Mommy slept through the night with no one poking us or medicines being administered and we both woke up nice and rested. We had therapy again at 10 and to say the hospital was quiet would be an understatement...since it was the 4th, we were the only people in the gym and they didn't even have the lights on for part of it. Our poor therapist Brandi was the only one on duty and she seemed to be pulled in all sorts of directions. We first went through our discharge orders, including what to expect, when we can take a bath (not soon enough!), prescriptions, etc...lots of information but all good stuff to get us on our way! After that we did some more therapy, so...
