Hello everyone!!! |
Ok, so I am totally slacking again on my posts and I apologize, hopefully you guys will forgive me, it has been a very crazy April to say the least. To start it all off, due to unfortunate circumstances we had to let our last Nanny go on short notice, due to this, Mommy got to be a stay at home working mother (I do not recommend this to anyone who may be thinking of trying it)! On the plus side though, I got a lot of precious Logie time and we also got lots of great Gammy (my mom) time too who was sweet enough to come help me with Logan for a couple of hours most days to allow me to get some of my work done. Luckily Miss Erica started last week and Logan is madly in LOVE!! Guess it is time for Mommy to go back to work! :(

I LOVE when Mommy gets to stay home, we go to the grocery store and get... |

FREE COOKIES!! YUMMY!! |
During this time we also had some exciting new things start up. I think I had mentioned that we had ordered Logan's walker and were waiting for it to come in. Well, a couple of weeks ago we finally got it! Meet Pacey (the Rifton Pacer), Logan's new friend! So far Logan is still not too sure about it, we are only getting him in it once or twice a day and only while he will tolerate it. Unfortunately at times he gets frustrated pretty quickly and we don't want him to think of it as work and then decide to stop using it completely so it is a fine line. However, when he is in the mood and wants to cooperate he has done great! He is putting one foot in front of the other which is one of the biggest things we are looking for with the walker (instead of hopping with his feet together) and will start moving around but only as long as you have something exciting that he wants. Here is a little video of Logan on his first day in the walker: (please ignore silly Mommy & Gammy)
Now that he has Medicaid approved we have also been able to move forward with some of his additional therapies. The first one that we have been able to start is Aqua Therapy and it is so much fun!! We have had one therapy so far and Logan did great and seemed to love it! They are basically doing a lot of the same things as you do on land but in the pool where there isn't as much resistance in his muscles. The therapist was very impressed by how strong he was and how chill he was in the pool (the last swim lessons we had they called Logan the "Bob Marley" of the pool, perhaps water is just his thing??). Here are some pictures & videos from that as well...

I just loved taking all these toys out and then putting them back away!
